eCandy and Nestle USA Announce Strategic Partnership

March 28, 2003
eCandy.com, Inc., a leading Web-based 'e-tailer' focused exclusively on offering confectionery products, announced today the formation of a strategic partnership with Nestle USA, whose Chocolate & Confections Division is one of the largest in the world, with annual sales of $1.3 billion.

eCandy is now the only Web site in the confectionery category actively promoted and supported by Nestle USA through marketing, advertising, and customer service initiatives. Nestle USA (www.NestleUSA.com) will prominently display eCandy on its website as the destination to purchase Nestle chocolate and candy products. Consumers are currently unable to purchase products on the Nestle USA website. eCandy will also appear on other Nestle USA brand's sites such as Perugina.com, Wonka.com, Butterfinger.com, and Wonderball.com.

eCandy will be selling numerous Nestle products including Butterfinger, Crunch, Baby Ruth and Raisinets under the company's retail chocolate brands; Nerds, Pixy Stix, Gobstoppers and Lik-M-Aid Fun Dip under the Willy Wonka Candy Factory brand; and the Perugina Brands of America line of fine chocolates, such as Perugina, After Eight and Quality Street. Consumers and retailers who contact the Nestle USA customer service department in search of a Nestle product will be directed to the eCandy Web site to order the desired product. eCandy will also work with Nestle to create interactive marketing techniques and campaigns to enhance the online candy shopping experience for consumers worldwide. Both companies will research and test electronic marketing techniques on their Web sites. (Contact www.ecandy.com for further information.)
