Elastomeric "spiders" featured in Lovejoy's Jaw In-Shear coupling series give standard in-compression jaw couplings a new in-shear torque transmission alternative. Increased spider width, up to 3.19 in., allows full separation of driving and driven hubs, which enables the coupling to act as a fuse in torque overloads. Nine in-shear spider sizes offer nominal torque capacities from 335 in.-lbs. to 18,760 in.-lbs.
