Hot dog lovers are finally getting a plant-based version of the iconic Chicago-style dog. Greenleaf Foods, SPC, owner of plant-based brand Field Roast, has announced a partnership with Portillo’s.

Brazilian-founded food-tech brand Future Farm is continuing its launch into the U.S., most recently exhibiting at the 2022 Natural Products Expo West conference in Anaheim, California.

The Japanese-based manufacturer of plant-based meat alternative products is offering two products in six Tokyo Central stores and four Marukai stores throughout Southern California and the Bay Area.

Rolling out at stores nationwide this month, the plant-based jerky is the first product from the two companies’ joint venture.
