A fully automatic, high-speed depositing system is designed specifically to provide very accurate scaling weights for heavy, dense muffin and cake batters, with or without particulates. The new depositor incorporates a motorized adjustment for setting the standard scaling weight, as well as motorized adjustments of individual pistons for achieving fine calibration on each deposit. Other features include a hydraulic height adjustment on the despositing chamber, a dripless rotary cut-off valve and a hinged, swing-down hopper for improved safety and easier access for sanitation and maintenance.
