McCain Foods USA will expand its Burely, ID frozen French fry operation with an investment of more than $200 million. The expansion is expected to create more than 180 new jobs.

Berner Food & Beverage is expanding its RTD beverage manufacturing capabilities (retort lines) within its existing 290,000-sq.-ft. facility in Dakota, IL. The expansion is expected to be completed this year.

Champion Petfoods is building a new facility in Parkland County, Alberta, Canada. The facility, being built by Gray Construction Canada, is expected to be finished in 2019, creating 200 jobs.

Red’s, a provider of frozen Mexican foods, opened its first manufacturing facility in North Sioux City, SD. The facility is expected to create more than 40 new jobs.

Dannon Company is investing $25 million to build a refrigerated 300,000-sq.-ft. distribution center at its Minster, OH location. Woolpert Inc. provided structural design services, and Ferguson Construction Company is the general contractor.

Gehl Foods in Germantown, WI is planning an expansion to its Main Street aseptic processing and filling plant, which will add as many as 30 jobs to the staff.

Kraft Heinz officially opened its $250-million plant expansion in Kirksville, MO. The expansion adds seven new production lines for the company’s Oscar Mayer meat brands and 200 new jobs.
