The LAAF final rule establishes a laboratory accreditation program for the testing of food in certain circumstances.

The FDA is conducting the consumer research on a potential symbol, which is intended to be a stylized representation of the nutrient content claim “healthy.” 

The plan is designed to help the FDA and its partners enhance the speed, effectiveness, coordination and communication of foodborne outbreak investigations.
