Molykote G-4500 multi-purpose synthetic grease provides higher load carrying capacity, greater wear resistance and longer service life than conventional petroleum-based lubricants, says Dow Corning, the manufacturer. As a general-purpose, light-consistency, white, synthetic grease, it can be used in rolling element and plain bearings, pivot pins, cams, guides, ways, drive screws, gears, splines and other machine elements. Compatible with many plastics and elastomers, the grease meets FDA regulation 21 CFR 178.3570 and SNF H1 classifications for incidental food contact. It is available in class 1 and 2 consistencies.
