USDA public meeting to address agenda items for upcoming Codex Alimentarius Commission
The meeting will be held June 18 at USDA headquarters.

USDA’s Under Secretary for Food Safety in conjunction with the Food Safety and Inspection Service will hold a public meeting to discuss agenda items for the upcoming 36th session of the Codex Alimentarius Commission. The meeting will be held June 18 from 1 to 4 pm at USDA headquarters, The Jamie L. Whitten Building, 1400 Independence Avenue SW, Room 107-A, Washington, DC 20250.
During the meeting, the committee will discuss the election of a chairperson and vice chair; strategic planning for the CAC; amendments to Codex standards and related texts; appointment of regional coordinators; matters referred to CAC by Codex committees and task forces; and matters of interest arising from the Food and Agriculture Organization and the World Health Organization (FAO/WHO) and other international organizations.
