Amy’s Kitchen will invest nearly $100 million to build a new 500,000-sq.-ft. organic food manufacturing plant in Goshen, NY. The project is planned to be finished by the end of 2016.

Goya Foods is opening four new facilities. A new 350,000-sq.-ft. production and distribution facility in Houston includes a 130-acre farm. A 250,000-sq.-ft. facility in Los Angeles will serve the West Coast; a 151,000-sq.-ft. facility in Atlanta will serve Georgia and surrounding states. Goya’s new Jersey City headquarters and warehouse will occupy 638,000 sq. ft. A fully renovated, 240,000-sq.-ft. Secaucus, NJ facility includes a new rice packaging line.

Mars Chocolate North America opened the doors of its 500,000-sq.-ft. facility in Topeka, KS. The $270 million facility is expected to employ 200 people.

Greencore Group will build a new sandwich manufacturing facility in Quonset, RI and close its existing facilities in Newburyport and Brockton, MA. The site will occupy more than 100,000 sq. ft.

Biery Cheese plans to invest $19.7 million in equipment and upgrades at its recently purchased Plover, WI site.

Green Sense Farms invested $2 million to renovate and equip a 30,000-sq.-ft. facility in Portage, IN. The plant grows lettuce, leafy greens and herbs in an interior, bug-free environment.

Flowers Foods is set to open a new bakery in Knoxville, TN.

PetSmart opened an 870,000-sq.-ft. distribution center in Bethel PA.
