BD&K Foods, a supplier of prepared Southern-style vegetables, will open a new 75,000-sq.-ft. facility in Columbus, GA.
Pinnacle Foods will open a new manufacturing facility in Hagerstown, MD. It will produce Pinnacle’s Gardein brand of plant-based protein.
Swiss Valley Farms plans a $20 million expansion to its cheese plant in Luana, IA.
Cargill is spending $111 million to convert its ground beef plant in Columbus, NE to a cooked-meats facility and to relocate its ground beef production. The company will reserve about a quarter of the total expenditure to invest in expanding ground beef production at two other locations.
Prairie Dog Pet Products will build a new $30 million pet food factory in Abilene, TX.
Ajinomoto plans to invest $20 million to build a new production line for frozen rice products at the Oakland, CA plant of Ajinomoto Windsor.
Creative Occasions, a division of Maplehurst Bakeries, is investing $4 million to expand its operations in Davison County, TN. The expansion will include new equipment to double its decorated cake line output.
Ready Roast Nut Company opened a new Valencia peanut plant in Portales, NM. The facility will process local peanuts and has been rated SQF Level 3.
