Bosch, BillerudKorsnas collaboration wins sustainability award

Sealed paper packaging honored for performance and sustainability

A collaboration between Bosch Packaging Technology and BillerudKorsnas has been awarded a 2017 Sustainability Award in the Bio-Based Packaging category.

The sealed paper packaging collaboration was honored for its combination of mono-material Axello paper from BillerudKorsnas and the ZAP-Module from Bosch Packaging Technology. The packaging is 100 percent dust-tight and fully recyclable. The packaging is available on vertical form-fill-seal as well as mandrel wheel machines and can be used in place of paper bags.

The Sustainability Awards are organized by Packaging Europe. The competition awards honors in seven categories: weight reduction, circular economy, cutting food waste, bio-based packaging, machinery, best practice and best sustainable packaging.
