A key component of the investment is the deployment of advanced technologies to optimize both production processes and cost, besides expanding the production capacity in Thailand. The initiative includes a new automated cooked chicken production line at Cargill’s poultry processing plant in Saraburi, expected to be completed in 2028. Over next two years, the company will make technological upgrades, incorporating machinery and integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into data processing. Furthermore, these technological advancements will elevate the efficacy of the company's rigorous food quality and safety management systems.

The company currently exports cooked poultry products from Thailand, its strategic poultry export hub to Japan, Europe, Asia and North America. With this expansion, Cargill’s total cooked volume is expected to increase to approximately 160,000 metric tons, generating a total of THB 25 billion in export value for Thailand annually and creating more than 300 jobs for local communities.

In addition, Cargill is constructing 30,000-metric-ton grain silo in Thailand to enhance raw material storage capability and provide greater flexibility in grain procurement throughout the year, while creating additional income opportunities for local farmers beyond the traditional harvest season. Following the groundbreaking this year, this facility is expected to be completed by early 2027.

In the Philippines, Cargill’s poultry investments include the construction of a feed mill with a production capacity of 190,000 metric tons annually. Expected to be completed by late 2027, this plant will generate over 100 jobs and help strengthen the poultry supply chain and improve feed availability, efficiency and reliability across the company’s Philippines operations. Within the Philippines, Cargill is also expanding its network of hatcheries, breeder and broiler farms to strengthen supply and cost efficiencies to better serve its domestic foodservice customers as well as Filipino consumers of its “Tip-Top” retail brand.
