BOC acquired RGF Environmental Group's food safety product portfolio. The assets include a line of food safety equipment and ozone and ultra-violet technologies used in pathogen control programs for the food processing industry. The acquisition is valued at $3 million.

The Austin Company named Gregory G. Crnkovich director of planning, food and beverage facilities. He formerly worked as a project manager for an Atlanta-based company specializing in developing, integrating, and installing food and beverage packaging lines.

Dean Foods acquired Horizon Organic Holding Corporation for approximately $216 million in cash and the assumption of $40 million in debt. Horizon markets a line of organic dairy products in the U.S.
