Flowers Foods prepares reintroduction of Hostess fresh bread brands
Direct-store delivery will begin in late September.
After acquiring Hostess' fresh bread brands in late July, Flowers Foods expects their return to grocery store shelves at the end of September. Brands including Merita, Wonder, Home Pride and Butternut will begin direct-store delivery starting at the end of the month. Allen Shiver, president and CEO of Flowers, says the breads will use all original recipes, and each will offer its traditional flavor profile.
