Cenk Gürol, group chief SCM officer, Aeon CO., LTD and president of Aeon Global SCM CO., LTD, Japan will take over chairmanship of the GFSI board of directors. Mike Robach, vice president, food safety, quality and regulatory affairs, Cargill, USA, and Neil Marshall, global director, quality and food safety strategy, policy and programs, The Coca-Cola Company, USA, have been elected as vice chairs.

Bishop-Wisecarver Group has hired Scott McClintock as vice president of marketing.

Jon Ballou joined Douglas Machine Inc. as president and COO following Rick Paulsen’s retirement.

Kelsey Johnson was appointed director of state affairs for the Grocery Manufacturers Association.

International Baking Industry Expo appointed Michael J. Cornelis of American Pan as its chairman for 2016.

Dennis Wierzbicki, president, Grundfos USA, has been elected to serve as chairman of the board, and George Harris, president & CEO, Hydro, Inc., has been elected to serve as president of The Hydraulic Institute.

Paul Henningsen was promoted to the newly created position of chief operating officer of Henningsen Cold Storage Co.

Polytron, Inc. has been named North America’s first designated Rockwell Automation Machinery Safety Solutions Partner.

Tetra Pak acquired Switzerland-based Miteco, a provider of production solutions for soft drinks, fruit juices and liquid food.

Darcy Zbinovec will serve as chief executive officer for Among Friends Baking Mixes.

Vincent Vanderpoel has joined Markem-Imaje as president and CEO following the retirement of Serge Kral.

Westfalia Technologies, Inc. announced Robert Douglas is its new service manager.

The Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) selected Christie A. Tarantino as its new executive vice president.

Sterigenics International has acquired Food Technology Service, Inc.

Shawn Moye was promoted to vice president of sales, Americas for Reading Bakery Systems.

Jarrod McCarroll has been named CEO of Weber Inc., responsible for all North American operations of Weber GmbH.

Bühler Aeroglide announced Andy Sharpe is now vice president of business development. 

Emily Bourdet has joined TricorBraun as director of marketing.

Volkmann, Inc. announced the signing of two new groups to represent its products in North America: UniProcess based in Tampico City, Mexico and Barnard-Boe in Isaaquah, WA.

Thiele Technologies announced the acquisition of Symach’s palletizers business, based in Terneuzen, The Netherlands.

Barry Callebaut acquired the remaining 51 percent of Biolands Group, its long-time supplier of certified cocoa beans from East and West Africa.

Bunting Magnetics named Donald Lindstrom as general manager of its Magnet Application, Inc. subsidiary.
