McCormick & Company, Incorporated issued a voluntary recall of its ground oregano 0.75 oz. bottles because of a possible Salmonella contamination.

According to McCormick, the potential risk was brought to the company’s attention by FDA during routine testing. This recall affects 1,032 cases with code dates BEST BY AUG 21 16 H and AUG 22 16 H.

No other company products are affected and no illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.

The company has notified consumers and grocery outlets to remove the product immediately and destroy it in a manner that would prevent any further consumption.
