Ray Millers joined Birko as director of business development, further processing.

KeHE Distributors, LLC completed its acquisition of Nature’s Best.

Matrix Technologies, Inc. promoted Ron England to director of project management.

Dannone’s board of directors voted to separate the functions of chairman and CEO. Emmanuel Faber will be company CEO while Franck Riboud will remain chairman of the board.

NBTY, Inc. named Steven Cahillane CEO.

Triangle Package Machinery named Ralph Hernandez as vice president of sales and marketing.

Danfoss appointed Mark Menzer as director of public affairs in North America.

Jean-Christophe Flatin was appointed president of global chocolate for Mars Incorporated.

Specialty food provider Innovative Food Holdings, Inc. acquired prepared meal manufacturer The Fresh Diet.

Susan Neely, president and CEO of the American Beverage Association, was named chair of the association’s board of directors.

Global Franchise Group, LLC has acquired Hot Dog on a Stick.

Spee-Dee Packaging Machinery, Inc. named Tony Stefanelli as vice president of business development.

Keurig Green Mountain, Inc. reached a multi-year agreement with Kraft Foods Group, Inc. to manufacture and distribute Kraft’s branded coffees in Keurig portion pack formats.

The Grocery Manufacturers Association presented the 2014 CPG Award for Innovation to PepsiCo, Inc.

Burger King Worldwide Inc. has partnered with Tim Hortons Inc. to form the world’s third-largest quick service restaurant company.

Cargill will purchase the Archer Daniels Midland Company’s global chocolate business for $440 million.

The Grocery Manufacturers Association honored retired Walmart president and CEO Mike Duke with its Hall of Achievement award.

Precision Digital Corporation added Alan Williams as vice president of sales.

Heineken N.V. signed an agreement with Crown Holdings Inc. to sell its Mexican packaging business EMPAQUE for $1.23 billion.

Mary Ellen Camire was named the 75th president of the Institute of Food Technologists.

3M named Jose Varela vice president of 3M’s personal safety division.

Schneider Packaging Equipment Co. Inc. named Ron Pietraszek regional sales manager for the Northeastern US.

Industrial Magnetics, Inc. has acquired Prater-Sterling.

JMP Engineering hired Steve Szamocki as vice president of sales and marketing.

Petainer appointed Herman Green as global sales director large containers. Ajinomoto Co. Inc. acquired Texas-based Windsor Quality Holdings LP for $800 million.

Pro Mach, Inc. acquired automated bottle unscrambler manufacturer Pace Packaging.
