Carolina Innovative Food Ingredients, Inc. has received certification under the USDA National Organic Program, allowing the company to offer certified organic versions of all of its sweet potato ingredients, including juices and dehydrated products.

Krones has upgraded its capabilities for the dairy industry with its new Milkron GmbH subsidiary. Krones has also completed the purchase of 80 percent of the business of Trans-Market Sales & Equipment Inc.

Hapman, a KMC Global Company, is expanding its manufacturing campus in Kalamazoo, MI, bringing the total manufacturing capacity to 159,000 sq. ft.

Amcor Rigid Plastics agreed to acquire the assets of Sonoco’s global plastics blow molding business in North America.

Tekni-Plex, Inc. announced that its aerosol and pump dispensing manufacturing will be doing business as Action Technology going forward.

BRC Global Standards launched BRC Global Standards Professional, an award program for technical and quality personnel.

The METTLER TOLEDO product inspection division announced that it will be building a new state-of-the-art facility to accommodate the growth of its business throughout the Americas. Expected to be completed in late 2017, it will be located 15 miles north of the division’s current site in Tampa, FL.

The HAVI Group combined nearly all of its global operating companies under one brand name, simply HAVI.

The OSI Group acquired a controlling stake in Baho Food, a private Dutch company involved in the manufacture of meat products and other food items for the foodservice and retail industries.

PGPI’s Evansville, IN plant recently achieved an AA BRC rating.

Graeter’s Ice Cream achieved Level 2 SQF 2000 Certification from the SQF Institute.

BW Container Systems’ Jennifer Abella was promoted to vice president, people for global packaging solutions firm.

Food Safety Net Services (FSNS) welcomed Faustine Curry as director of marketing.

Amcor Rigid Plastics has appointed Ashish Saxena as vice president and general manager of LiquiForm Group LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Amcor.
