Tetra Pak’s new packaging option is targeting today’s on-the-go consumers. Its DreamCap closure is now available on the Tetra Prisma Aseptic 500 Edge carton in the US. Together, the container and closure offer a contemporary, optimized shape. The carton also features a fully printable surface that can help differentiate brands on the shelf.
“The new package combination delivers an even better drinking experience to consumers and enables brands to expand into new on-the-go categories such as natural teas,” says Eliseo Barcas, vice president of marketing and sales, Tetra Pak U.S. & Canada.
The ergonomically designed DreamCap closure was developed using research into drinking styles, beverage flow and other elements. The cap has a high neck and is positioned over the edge of the carton, offering easy access to the spout and a comfortable fit to the face and lips. The 26mm opening and ridge allow consumers to drink the way they prefer while maintaining control of the liquid flowing into their mouths.
The first filling machine running the container with the DreamCap closure is located at US contract manufacturer Jasper Products in Joplin, MO. “The addition of DreamCap on the 500mL package is a great fit for our customers that want to produce a larger shelf-stable beverage for on-the-go consumption,” says Ken Haubein, president of Jasper Products.
