Kettle Cuisine acquired Del Monaco Foods.

Molson Coors Brewing Company announced leadership appointments to take effect upon close of the MillerCoors acquisition. Kandy Anand will be named chief growth officer; Michelle Nettles will be appointed chief people and diversity officer; Stewart Glendinning will take over as president and CEO of Molson Coors International; and Frederic Landtmeters will assume the role of president and CEO of Molson Coors Canada.

Forrest E. Mars Jr., the businessman who together with his siblings shaped and grew Mars, Inc. into the multinational confectionery giant, died at the age of 84.

SafetyChain Software has acquired Vigilistics, Inc.

The Grocery Manufacturers Association honored McCormick & Company and Pinnacle Foods with the 2016 CPG Awards for Innovation and Creativity. The Hall of Achievement Award was presented to Ed Crenshaw of Publix.

Hearthside Food Solutions acquired Oak State Products.

McDonald’s Corporation announced the retirement of Chief Administrative Officer Pete Pensen.
