Hostess assets, real estate to be liquidated

Sale to include equipment from 2012 liquidation

The remaining assets and factories of the original Hostess Brands will be auctioned off throughout the month of March.

The auction will include more than 2,000 lots from 12 bakeries and storage locations, as well as real estate in Peoria, Ill.; Dolton, Ill.; Tolleson, Ariz.; Rocky Mount, N.C.; Morristown, Tenn.; and Bluefield, W. Va. Online auctions opened March 1 and will close April 3. Two live auctions will be hosted in Ogden, Utah, and Rocky Mount.

The equipment and facilities were purchased in 2012 by Reich Brothers and Rabin Worldwide. The purchases came after Hostess Brands was liquidated.
