Advanced Fresh Concepts has recalled edamame (soybeans) sold in 33 states due to the possibility of Listeria contamination.

All retail locations have been notified of the recall. No illnesses have been reported.

The affected products was packaged by AFC franchisees and sold in refrigerated, 8-oz. packages labeled “Edamame — Soybeans in Pods.” The packages carried UPC 0-23012-00261-9 and were dated between Jan. 3 and March 17.

The products were sold at retail sushi counters, cafeterias and corporate dining centers in AL, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, ME, MI, MN, MS, NC, NH, NM, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WA, and WY. Consumers who purchased the recalled product should return it to where it was purchased.
