CRF Frozen Foods laid off an additional 61 employees amid an ongoing shutdown at its Pasco, WA plant that has been connected to a listeria contamination.

Texas-based Dean Foods Company has agreed to buy the manufacturing and retail ice cream business of Friendly’s Ice Cream, LLC for $155 million.

The CDC informed CRF it has identified eight people from three states who became ill and were hospitalized due to Listeria.

The changes affect six of the companies iconic brands including Dreyer’s, Häagen-Dazs, Outshine, Skinny Cow, Nestlé Ice Cream and Nestlé Drumstick.

Nestlé USA has issued a voluntary recall for select DiGiorno Pizza, Lean Cuisine and Stouffer’s frozen food products over concern they may contain pieces of glass.
