GE Fanuc Automation North America, Inc. will acquire Intellution, Inc., a supplier of industrial automation software. Intellution provides a software platform that collects, distributes, controls and visually presents information from the plant floor throughout the enterprise.
ExxonMobil Chemical honored excellence and innovation in flexible packaging and labeling at its 16th annual Golden Mummy and Pyramid Awards. Three Golden Mummy winners and four Pyramid winners for labeling were recognized. The Golden Mummy Awards winners included: the Sun-Maid Growers of California and converter Seville Flexpack Corporation for its Sun Maid Toons & Treats Promo; Lance Inc., and converter Printpack Inc., for its Poppers snack product; and Landshire Inc., with converter Columbus Cello Poly for packaging its pre-made sandwiches. The Pyramid Award winners were: Snapple Beverage Group and converter Gamse Lithographing Inc.; Coors Brewing Company and converter Printera; Proctor & Gamble and converter Quality Assured Label, Inc. and adhesive coater Avery Dennison; and Mission Hills, a division of Colgate Palmolive, Mexico and converter Package Service Company.
BEVsytems International Inc. will merge with Alfresh Beverages Canada. Alfresh will become a wholly owned subsidiary of BEVsystems International Inc. and operate under the name Alfresh Beverages Canada. Based in Toronto, Alfresh is a single-serve juice company manufacturing fruit juice and drink products for distribution throughout the U.S., Canada, Caribbean, and parts of Europe and Asia.
Dean Foods Company is selling its dairy operations in Puerto Rico to Grupo Gloria, a Peruvian conglomerate for a cash price of $122 million. The Puerto Rico operations of Dean Foods consists of five companies—Suiza Dairy Corporation, Suiza Fruit Corporation, Neva Plastics Manufacturing Corp., Garrido y Compania, LLC and Garido Alto Grande Corp.
John T. Cahill has been named the Chairman-Elect of The Pepsi Bottling Group. Craig E. Weatherup, Chairman of PBG, will continue to serve in that position until he retires in early 2003.
Dennis Eshleman, Vice President, Brand Integration, has been named Vice President, Strategy and Innovation for Hershey Food Corporation. Milton T. Matthews, Vice President, Chief Customer Officer, Hershey Food Corporation, will retire in mid-December 2004. During the transition process, Matthews will report to David J. West who has been named Senior Vice President, Sales.

Interroll Corp. appointed Ken Bobick to the position of Global DC Product Manager. Jess LaFollette has been named the Operations Manager of the U.S. manufacturing headquarters for Interroll Corporation.
