Reflecting its expansion into industry-specific engineering, consulting and project management services, Fisher-Rosemount is changing its name to Emerson Process Management. The company's expanded services and solutions offering complements Fisher-Rosemount's reputation for best-in-class products, technologies and revolutionary automation architecture. The new name and immediate adoption of a new logo also reinforce the company's link to its parent, St. Louis-based Emerson, supporting a corporate-wide branding strategy launched in December 2000. "Customers are demanding more from suppliers," said John Berra, executive vice president of Emerson with responsibility for the process management business. "Simply carrying a broad line of leading products and technologies isn't enough today. In many cases, they are looking to reduce the number of suppliers they do business with, choosing those who can help them grow their business continuously, efficiently, long term. This calls for a supplier with experience in bringing together and applying superior technologies to industry-specific and customer-specific applications.
