Sabra recalls 30,000 cases of hummus over listeria concernsThe presence of Listeria monocytogenes in a routine product test prompted a voluntary recall of approximately 30,000 cases of the Sabra Dipping Co., LLC’s popular hummus brand of products.

The recall is limited to five SKUs of the company’s Classic Humus distributed to retail outlets, food service accounts and supermarkets nationwide. No other products are affected by the recall.

According to FDA, the potential contamination was discovered after a routine random sample, collected by the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in March, tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes.

No illnesses associated with the product have been reported.
