Campbell Soup acquired Garden Fresh Gourmet for $231 million.

Mondelez International appointed Mohit Bhalla as vice president of corporate development.

The Kraft Heinz Company made the following appointments: Paulo Basilio EVP and chief financial officer; Matt Hill zone president of Europe; Emin Mammadov zone president of Russia, India and Middle East, Turkey and Africa; Michael Mullen SVP of corporate and government affairs;  Eduardo Pelleissone EVP of global operations;  Marcos Romaneiro zone president of Asia Pacific; Francisco Sa zone president of Latin America; Jim Savina SVP, general counsel and corporate secretary; Melissa Werneck SVP global human resources, performance and IT; and George Zoghbi chief operating officer of US commercial business.

SPX appointed Gerard Lang to the role of global product manager, pumps and valves and strategic marketing.

Hapman named Jim Hughes as national sales director.

JE Grote Company named Thomas Mathues as chief development officer.

Toyota Industrial Equipment promoted Cesar Jimenez to director, product planning, technical services and warranty.

NuTEC Manufacturing appointed Thomas Tonra as director of sales and marketing.

Aaron Zell was named president and CEO of Sani-Matic.

Donaldson Company, Inc.’s Joseph Lehman, vice president of global operations, retired on August 1.

Sysco pulled out of its proposed merger with US Foods.

USDA named Matt Herrick as director of communications and Alyn Kiel as senior advisor for strategic communications.

IMA Dairy & Food USA hired Patrick Carroll as president.

Coca-Cola Co. named Alan Boehme chief technology officer.

Rik Jacobs was named president and CEO of SunOpta Inc. effective October 1.

US Foods Inc. named Pietro Satriano president and CEO.

Susie Frausto joined the Kellogg Company as senior director, snacks for Kellogg’s specialty channels.

Rovema North America, a subsidiary of Rovema GmbH, hired Steven White as business development manager.

B&G Foods, Inc. acquired Spartan Foods of America, Inc.

Grupo Bimbo will acquire Panrico SAU for approximately $210 million.

The North American Meat Institute promoted Anne Halal to senior vice president of exposition, education and member services.

CKE Restaurants Holdings, Inc. named Eric Williams COO.

IFS will acquire VisionWaves B.V.

The Rooibee Red Tea Co. named Byron Evans CEO.

PepsiCo named Eugene Willemsen executive vice president, global categories and franchise management; Brian Newman executive vice president, global operations; and Laxman Narasimhan CEO, Latin America.

Hormel Foods Corporation completed its acquisition of Applegate Farms, LLC.

Bishop-Wisecarver named Drew Leppert as director of sales, distribution.
