Texas grower Montero Farms is recalling shipments of orange habanero peppers because the product has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, according to FDA.

The peppers were shipped in eight-pound cardboard boxes to locations in Indianapolis, Indiana and McAllen, Texas from April 28 2016 to present.

According to FDA, the potential for contamination was discovered after routine testing was conducted by the regulatory agency. Production of the product has been suspended while FDA and the company continue their investigation as to the source of the problem.

No illnesses have been reported in connection with this problem.
