Dold Foods (Wichita, KS), a Hormel Foods manufacturing plant, plans to add a 150,000-sq.-ft. expansion to its bacon producing facility, creating about 380 new jobs. The expansion is expected to be completed in 2019.
Americold has broken ground for a new distribution center located in Rochelle, IL. The 15.5-million cu.-ft. facility will open in December 2018.
Bambinos Baby Food, a provider of kosher and organic baby-food meals, opened a new 3,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing facility in Anchorage, Alaska.
Piedmont Custom Meats is investing $4.15 million into the former Yates County Ham building in Asheboro, NC to open a meat cutting and packaging operation, creating 40 jobs.
Mucci Farms is building a greenhouse produce-grow facility and a 272,000-sq.-ft. distribution center in Huron, OH.
Foster Farms is investing $30 million to expand and upgrade its poultry processing facilities in Farmerville, LA.
Smithfield Foods is building a new distribution center and expanding its cold storage facilities in Tar Heel, NC facility. The $100-million investment is expected to create about 250 new jobs.
Pure Flavor is investing $105 million to build a high-tech greenhouse and 75,000-sq.-ft. distribution center near Atlanta, GA in Peach County.
