DNV GL and NDS (Nongshim Data System, South Korea) signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on further development of digital assurance solutions, targeting food safety and traceability in the food and beverage industry.
ROYAL DSM announced the establishment of AVANSYA V.O.F., a 50/50 venture partnership between CARGILL and DSM. Avansya will produce zero-calorie sweeteners through fermentation and will be headquartered at the Biotech Campus Delft, the Netherlands.
HORMEL FOODS CORPORATION
HORMEL FOODS entered into a definitive agreement to sell its CytoSport business to PEPSICO INC.
GODIVA CHOCOLATIER, owned by Yildiz Holding, will sell select GODIVA assets to MBK PARTNERS. MBK Partners will purchase the retail and distribution operations in GODIVA’s markets of Japan, South Korea and Australia, as well as the future rights to develop in New Zealand.

CAMPBELL SOUP COMPANY has signed a definitive agreement for the sale of its Everett, Wash., refrigerated soup plant to an affiliate of the JOSHUA GREEN CORPORATION, a Seattle-based private investment company.
DIAMOND OF CALIFORNIA
DIAMOND OF CALIFORNIA appointed CRAIG HOPE as its new CEO. Most recently, Hope served as CEO of Country Fresh and JTM Foods, and led a successful growth effort at Earthbound Farms.
FLOWERS FOODS elected RYALS MCMULLIAN, the company’s COO, as its president and CEO, while CEO Allen L. Shiver has retired.

NESTLÉ WATERS NORTH AMERICA hired DAVID TULAUSKAS as vice president and chief sustainability officer. He comes from General Motors, where he served as sustainability director.
KELLOGG COMPANY elected ERICA L. MANN and RODERICK D. GILLUM to its board of directors.
ERIEZ promoted JOHN KLINGE to the newly created position of director, strategic sales-aftermarket. In this role, Klinge will head Eriez’s aftermarket business, which includes the company’s service, repair and spare parts departments.
