The Tillamook County Creamery Association recently opened a 68,000-sq.-ft. ice cream facility in Decatur, Ill. It is Tillamook’s first owned and operated plant outside of Oregon.

Year over year, Nightingale Ice Cream Sandwiches has doubled in size and has outgrown its current production facility. The new location will serve as a production facility and corporate headquarters.

Belgian Waffle Cones, a new product line, is available in four flavors, along with two new flavors of ice cream bars.

Idaho Milk Products will break ground on the 183,000-sq.-ft. plant on Oct. 11. The facility will be substantially complete by early 2026 with full commercial production by May 2026.

The Fudge n’ Vanilla French Fry Pop wraps a vanilla oatmilk frozen base in a chocolate fudge shell rolled in real, crispy potato bits.

Built on eight acres, the 76,000-sq.-ft. facility will feature 18,000 sq. ft. of cold storage with room for future expansion.

According to Future Market Insights, a surge in innovative flavors and loaded indulgence are major trends.

The Decatur, Ill., facility will be TCCA's first owned and operated manufacturing facility outside of Oregon and will be TCCA's only facility solely dedicated to ice cream production.

Its allergen-free ice cream flavors include butter pecan, chocolate, coffee chip and vanilla.
