Campbell Soup Company to acquire second-largest organic baby and children’s food brand

Campbell Soup Company announced it completed its acquisition of Kelsen Group from private equity firm Maj Invest. The terms of the deal were not disclosed, and Campbell plans to operate the acquisition as a standalone company. Kelsen is a manufacturer of sweet biscuits and baked snacks based in Nørre Snede, Denmark. The business will report to Luca Mignini, president of Campbell International.

"We are excited to bring Kelsen’s talented team and distinctive brands to Campbell," says Mignini. "The acquisition of Kelsen, with its strong brand awareness in China and Hong Kong, is an ideal complement to Campbell’s global baked snack businesses and a platform for additional growth for Campbell in key emerging markets.”
