Essentra to acquire Clondalkin Specialist Packaging
Essentra plc announced this week it has entered into an agreement to acquire Clondalkin Group’s Specialist Packaging Division for approximately $455 million.
Expected to complete in early 2015, the transaction marks Essentra’s largest acquisition that will extend the company’s existing packaging capabilities.
With 24 facilities, Clondalkin provides specialty secondary packaging solutions to North America and Europe.
“Clondalkin SPD is a highly attractive business, with a focus on the growing health and personal care industries, and a comprehensive offering of high quality, innovative and mission critical products to meet the exacting requirements of an international customer base, which is increasingly seeking a global partner for their packaging solutions,” said Malcolm Waugh, Essentra Group Commercial director.
