Essentra plc announced this week it has entered into an agreement to acquire Clondalkin Group’s Specialist Packaging Division for approximately $455 million.

Expected to complete in early 2015, the transaction marks Essentra’s largest acquisition that will extend the company’s existing packaging capabilities.

With 24 facilities, Clondalkin provides specialty secondary packaging solutions to North America and Europe.
