Daiya, a maker of plant-based foods, is moving its headquarters and production facility to a 400,000-sq.-ft. facility in Burnaby, BC, Canada, just east of Vancouver. Production will begin in 2019.
Nestlé Canada is investing $40 million to expand its ice cream production facility in London, ON. This work will be complete in early 2019.
The Hershey Company celebrated the groundbreaking of a $60 million expansion of its Kit Kat candy making facility in Hazleton, PA. The expansion will create more than 110 new jobs.
Mexican-based Intera-merican Foods Corporation opened its new $50 million La Moderna plant in Cleburne, TX. The 150,000-sq.-ft. plant is La Moderna’s first in the US.
Lionchase Holdings is building a 200,000-sq.-ft. cold storage distribution facility at the TexAmericas Center in Texarkana, TX. The $20 million facility is slated to begin operations by December 2019.
Fuji Vegetable Oil is investing $70 million to start a new processing facility in Avondale, LA. The company will hire 39 to staff the facility.
