Hershey Foods completed a $48 million plant expansion in Stuarts Draft, VA. The expansion created 110 new jobs in the plant, which produces Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and S'mores candy bars.

Wayne Farms LLC, plans to build a poultry further processing facility in Decatur, AL. When the three-phase project is completed in 2006, the 100,000-sq.-ft. facility will support two fully cooked production lines with space for four additional lines.

Buhler AG opened an extrusion engineering laboratory in Braunschweig, Germany, following the acquisition of the TSK unit of Theyson Maschinenbau GmbH last winter.

A 100,000-sq.-ft. expansion project is near completion at CFC Logistics' public refrigerated warehouse in Quakertown, PA. The expansion, which comes less than two years after the facility was originally built, will bring the total size to 254,000 sq. ft.

CP Kelco plans to increase capacity at its pectin production site in Limeira, Brazil. The first phase of the expansion project, scheduled for completion in mid-2005, will boost capacity by 25 percent. The second phase, to be finished in early 2007, doubles existing capacity.
