The fifth Canadian Microbiology Laboratory located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, will offer Rapid Pathogen testing (E.coli O157:H7, Salmonella & Listeria), as well as Indicators (Generic E.coli/Coliforms, Total Plate Count, Yeast & Mold).

Vancouver-based EnWave Corporation has opened its REVworx large-scale vacuum-microwave toll processing facility, which offers on-demand contract manufacturing services for the production of high-quality, vacuum-microwave dried snack and ingredient applications for food companies of all sizes.

Caddo Mountain Spring Water is working with RPPY Architects to design a 140,000-square-foot premium water bottling facility—expandable to 200,000+ square feet—at its spring/artesian source water property in Arkansas. 

Tyson Foods broke ground on a new $355 million bacon production facility in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The 400,000-square-foot plant will employ 450 people and help meet growing demand for the company’s Wright and Jimmy Dean brands. The facility is scheduled to open in 2023.

Else Nutrition, the plant-based baby, toddler and children nutrition company headquartered in Israel, has signed an agreement to establish a specialized manufacturing site to process and prepare Else’s proprietary specialized, demineralized buckwheat for its infant formula.

Red White & Bloom Brands Inc. (RWB), a multi-state cannabis operator and house of premium brands, via its RWB Michigan LLC wholly owned subsidiary, has closed on a lease assignment for a 15,000 sq. ft. manufacturing/processing and distribution facility in Warren, Mich.

New poultry producer Pure Prairie Farms has completed the purchase of a former Simply Essentials chicken processing plant in Charles City, Iowa. The plant, which previously closed in August of 2019, is a state-of-the-art retail tray-packaging facility and features air-chill technology. The plant is scheduled to be fully operational by spring of 2022.
