Hostess Brands Inc., a sweet snacks company, will convert an idled factory in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, into a state-of-the-art bakery. The bakery is expected to be operational in the second half of 2023 and bring approximately 150 new jobs to the community over the next three years.

The 400,000-square-foot plant will feature the latest automation and robotics for food production.

Tyson Foods broke ground on a new $355 million bacon production facility in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The 400,000-square-foot plant will employ 450 people and help meet growing demand for the company’s Wright and Jimmy Dean brands. The facility is scheduled to open in 2023.
