The new facility, with 10 times the capacity of its previous operation, is expected to enable the company to keep pace with the coast-to-coast demand for its organic, gluten-free vegan products.

The 335,000-sq.-ft. facility is part of a strategic collaboration with Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) to co-locate Americold warehouse facilities on the CPKC network.

The modern distribution facility includes 12,000 sq. ft. of fully automated freezer capacity, end-to-end research and development capabilities, automated production lines to increase sales capacity, and space for five additional production lines. 

The Jerome facility is the company’s fifth U.S. distribution center, built to support its year-over-year growth and strategic reach across the country.

The 112,444-sq.-ft. facility is under construction in Midwest City, Okla., and will open for operation this fall.

The 2,000-square-meter space contains customized research, production and office space to develop and produce cultivated fish products.

Operating under Sunlit Foods, the company says its Green Food Factory is the largest of its kind in the world.

The Chicago facility, which opened in 1939, is the original manufacturing plant of the Blommer group.

The proposed project would cut 14,000 metric tons of carbon emissions per year for the factories that produce Ben & Jerry’s, Talenti, Magnum, Breyers and other brands.

Cal-Maine Foods plans to remodel and repurpose the assets for use in shell egg and egg products production.
