The company is investing at least $800 million in a new facility in Jefferson, Wis., as well as expansion initiatives at its plant in Walworth, Wis.

The new facility covers a 27,000 sq. ft. (2,500 square meters) and has the capacity to produce hundreds of tons of microalgae protein powder.

The new manufacturing facility will produce Asian-style foods, primarily for Schwan's Korean food brand bibigo.

The facility can process up to one million pounds of local milk per day into shelf-stable and ESL milk and other liquid dairy products, many of which will be packaged in Tetra Pak cartons.

The company says it is investing in its manufacturing sites, leveraging its network of leading co-manufacturing partners, and closing inefficient sites and shifting production to more modern and effective plants.

Carolina Foods, a North Carolina-based bakery, officially opened its new, state-of-the-art facility in the Charlotte suburb of Pineville.

Construction of the new factory will start in fall 2024 and is set to conclude by the end of 2025.

Plans are to start construction on the expansion by Summer 2024 and be complete by the end of 2025.

The facility manufactures CAVA’s proprietary dips and spreads, including tzatziki, harissa and Crazy Feta, as well as select dressings.
