Grillo’s Pickles is investing $54 million to construct and outfit a 155,000-sq.-ft. food manufacturing facility and will employ up to 150 people.

The investment is part of Valio’s plans to move production gradually from the plant in Vantaa, Finland, to Joensuu, Finland, during 2025-2027.

The facility plans to produce 130 million pounds of sausage, processing 500,000 sows each year.

The investment will increase efficiency at 30 of the company’s U.S. manufacturing facilities.
