Ferrero breaks ground on its first chocolate processing facility in the U.S.

Ferrero North America, part of the global confectionery company the Ferrero Group, broke ground on a new 70,000-square-foot chocolate processing facility in Bloomington, Illinois. It will be the Ferrero Group's third facility that processes chocolate, and its first outside of Europe. The new plant is set to open in spring 2023.

Dr. Schär USA has broken ground on a 42,000-square-foot expansion of its manufacturing facility in Logan Township, N.J. This expansion comes exactly 10 years after Dr. Schär took eight shovels for their eight U.S. employees and broke ground on this New Jersey gluten-free bread production site. The plant expansion is needed to keep up with increasing demand of their gluten-free bread.

Kentucky Food Processing Plant Expansion T. Marzetti

T. Marzetti Expanding Kentucky Manufacturing Facility by 184,500 Square Feet

May 17, 2021

T. Marzetti is expanding its Horse Cave, Kentucky, processing facility by an extra 184,500 square feet after a recent groundbreaking ceremony. The facility manufactures salad dressings, sauces and other foods for retail and foodservice markets. The expansion will provide additional manufacturing space and include new equipment to increase dressing and sauce production, new processing kitchens, and several packaging lines to meet growing customer demand. The expansion is expected to be complete in the summer of 2022 and will create over 200 jobs for the region.

Gray, a fully integrated, international A&E/C design/build service provider, has again partnered with Clemens Food Group, a sixth generation family owned pork business, to build a new smoked meats processing facility in Hatfield, Pennsylvania. The companies recently broke ground on the new facility that will support increased smoked meats and cooked sausage production.
