The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued two guidance documents about food allergen labeling requirements to help the food industry meet the requirements to list any major food allergen on the labels of FDA-regulated foods.

The FDA has identified imported enoki mushrooms distributed by Utopia Foods, Inc. of Glendale, N.Y., as a likely source of illnesses in this outbreak.
