Yoplait cuts 25 percent of sugar out of yogurt without artificial sweeteners or flavors

In one of General Mills’ latest efforts, the company announced Yoplait’s Original line of yogurts will now be made with 25 percent less sugar. The company first removed high fructose corn syrup and discontinued use of dairy with rBGH/rBST growth hormone in 2009.

Vermont judge denies GMA’s attempt to stop GMO law

This week, US District Court Judge Christina Reiss of Vermont rejected the Grocery Manufacturers Association’s and other industry groups request for a preliminary injunction to stop a state law requiring the mandatory labeling of genetically modified food from going into effect as schedule in July of 2016.
