Multi-stakeholder platform works toward sustainable cane sugar

Chocolate and cocoa manager Barry Callebaut has joined Bonsucro, a multi-stakeholder platform that brings together industry representatives and NGOs to work on a sustainable cane sugar value chain.
The agency released a final rule for the criteria needed to conclude an ingredient is “generally recognized as safe” (GRAS) for use in human or animal food.
