The company has already invested $240 million in a Nature’s Bakery facility in Utah, as well as $450 million in a Royal Canin dry pet food facility in Ohio.
The company says it continues to evolve its business strategy, offer valuable upskilling programs and provide team members with long-term wealth-building opportunities.
As a part of the program, unsold and non-donatable food and beverage products from USCS’s California locations are brought to Divert’s Integrated Diversion and Energy Facility in Turlock, Calif.
In addition to the robotic manufacturing operations, the campus will combine multiple Yaskawa Drives and Motion facilities into one location over the next three to eight years, eventually encompassing more than 800,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing, packaging and training space.
The center creates skilled jobs in Janesville, including engineering and scientific roles, and complements GEA’s existing operations in the city, where 74 employees work at its Separation & Flow Technologies facility.
The launch builds on the initial purchase order announced on Sept. 30, 2024, and represents Steakholder Foods’ first full product-cycle revenue stream — from pre-mix supply to consumer sales.
