The new facility will boost the company’s presence in growing edible oil and animal feed markets, and will create opportunities in renewable energy feedstock markets.

Henry Avocado Corp. has expanded its cold storage distribution center in Charlotte, N.C. through collaboration with design-build firm A M King.

The completion of this transaction is part of the company’s overall network optimization strategy, one of the pillars of its Global Strategic Plan.

The Modesto expansion is the second largest capital project in the company’s history.

The company’s facility in Seymore, Ind. will build upon key learnings and successes from Vital Farms’ egg washing and packing facility in Springfield, Mo., which opened in 2017.

Located in Conway, Arkansas, the 570,000-sq.-ft. facility represents a $315 million investment in manufacturing capability and includes a comprehensive beverage development laboratory.

The company is investing at least $800 million in a new facility in Jefferson, Wis., as well as expansion initiatives at its plant in Walworth, Wis.

The new facility covers a 27,000 sq. ft. (2,500 square meters) and has the capacity to produce hundreds of tons of microalgae protein powder.

The new manufacturing facility will produce Asian-style foods, primarily for Schwan's Korean food brand bibigo.

The facility can process up to one million pounds of local milk per day into shelf-stable and ESL milk and other liquid dairy products, many of which will be packaged in Tetra Pak cartons.
