Cargill celebrates 150 years

Food processing giant Cargill has begun its yearlong 150th anniversary celebration honoring the company’s founding in 1865 that started with William Wallace Cargill who became the owner of a single grain warehouse in Iowa. Today, the company employs 143,000 people in 67 countries.

More than half of US dairy producers enroll in margin protection program

California firm recalls beef, pork products

California-based Unibright Foods Inc. has issued a recall of approximately 48,139 pounds of frozen, ready-to-eat sukiyaki beef and gingered pork products that may be contaminated with metal extraneous materials, according to USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).

Dunkin’ Donuts plans expansion in China; adds 1,400 restaurants
