Year over year, Nightingale Ice Cream Sandwiches has doubled in size and has outgrown its current production facility. The new location will serve as a production facility and corporate headquarters.

EIC Alyse Thompson-Richards recaps some recent plant openings and expansions in the food and beverage industry.

The facility was built on land purchased from Franklin County Industrial Development Corporation and is expected to generate 8,750,000 kWh annually of renewable electricity, exported to the Vermont grid under the state’s Standard Offer program.

The facility plans to produce 130 million pounds of sausage, processing 500,000 sows each year.

The Tennessee plant will triple the firm’s production capacity in the United States and create demand.

With the opening of the KettleWorks facility, Kettle & Fire will be able to maintain its standards of quality, transparency and taste while tracking toward becoming the No. 1 brand in the total broth category.

The site can manufacture the brand’s entire regional dry kibble portfolio, making it the brand’s largest dry pet food factory globally.

Eligible facilities need to have been completed between Oct. 1, 2024 and Sept. 30, 2025.

The new facility will nearly double Archer’s overall manufacturing capacity and will be primarily focused on producing Archer’s lineup of meat sticks.
