Jennie-O turkey farm hit by bird flu

A commercial turkey farm of 310,000 birds in Meeker County, MN, an operation of the Jennie-O Turkey Store, has tested positive for the deadly strain of avian influenza making it the ninth commercial turkey farm struck with the disease in the state, according to the Associated Press.

German Chocolate Cake, Black Raspberry Krunch Sundae and Hawaiian Wedding Cake Ice Cream were declared the most innovative ice cream flavors by the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) at its Innovative Ice Cream Flavor Competition last week, part of IDFA’s annual Ice Cream Technology Conference.
